What Causes Cognitive Decline??
People often fear Alzheimer’s when they are having trouble with their memory. But most of the time, memory loss is a symptom of stress, diet, or hormonal deficiencies. Alzheimer’s and dementia often have these same types of underlying deficiencies.
The Sklar Center Team has completed training in the Bredesen Protocol. Dr. Sklar is working closely with Dr. Bredesen and other physicians to advance the understanding and application of his program for preventing and stabilizing cognitive decline.
As a certified Bredesen 3.0 practitioner, Dr. Sklar is an expert on preventing cognitive decline. She and her team examine the underlying genetics, toxic exposure, stress, sleep, diet, and physical factors that contribute to cognitive decline and mental deterioration.
At the Sklar Center we recognize that cognitive decline doesn’t have a single cause. For example, other underlying factors that contribute to Alzheimer’s and dementia include:
- Inflammation
- Blood sugar disruption
- Toxin exposure
- Nutritional deficiencies
- Genetic factors
